Moshe Scheinberg founded Emory Capital Group to bring a healthcare-native perspective to financing in skilled nursing, senior living and continuing care. As Founder and Chief Executive Officer, he is responsible for the firm's overall direction, investment activities and institutional relationships, and he oversees its investment strategy.
A career inside healthcare
Before founding Emory, Mr. Scheinberg held senior executive positions within the healthcare industry. His experience spans long-term and post-acute care operations, corporate development and organizational leadership, and his career has included overseeing business operations, leading growth initiatives and developing platforms that serve healthcare providers nationwide.
That background shapes how Emory works. The firm's underwriting begins with reimbursement, payer mix, staffing, survey history and back-office discipline, the factors that determine how a facility actually performs.
A platform built for one sector
Emory Capital Group is a healthcare-native debt platform providing mezzanine financing to skilled nursing, senior living and continuing care communities, including new development. Under Mr. Scheinberg's leadership, the firm has organized its work, from underwriting to monthly monitoring and advisory, around a detailed understanding of how these operations run.
Alongside the financing itself, Emory makes clinical, reimbursement and operational expertise available to the operators it works with. The firm takes a long-term view of those relationships, supporting operators through expansion, refinancing and each stage of an asset's life.
Commitment to community
Mr. Scheinberg also serves on the Board of Directors of Misameach, a New Jersey-based nonprofit organization supporting individuals and families facing serious illness.
